This intrigues me, by asking these questions in essence you are looking to positively discriminate. For example if the individual isn’t from a background which has what would be considered to be “middle class” income, they are then being put through the process maybe where they wouldn’t have before? How does this work and why is that necessary? I can understand partly the unconscious bias on the application names, but not on income, background and schooling. This does not serve the purpose of recruiting fairly and equally for the job. Background is irrelevant and should not be required and is only likely to end up in positive discrimination if they feel they haven’t got enough people from a socio economic background!
