Charlie Ryan
Charlie Ryan is the founder and Managing Director of CMR Recruitment, a recruitment business providing recruitment support to SMEs right through to corporate firms. CMR Recruitment was started in 2009 after a successful 18 years in the recruitment business. Charlie believed that recruitment should not be about money but about people – ensuring that everyone has a chance to “be the best they can be”. She wanted to make a difference in the challenging world of recruitment.
Highly dynamic and energetic, Charlie embraces all areas of “people within the workplace” so that employees are motivated and working in the right positions, with employers recruiting, managing and retaining their staff through an understanding of individual’s personalities and motivations.
Before launching CMR, Charlie worked as a Commercial Manager for companies such as Mortimer Spinks and JPA to set up new commercial divisions. It was this experience that ignited her desire to make a difference in the world of recruitment. When she first started her own company, it became very apparent that there was more she could offer than just placing a great candidate into a business and so CMR Consultancy and The Recruitment Queen were born.

In 2018 Chloe joined TRQ as a Resourcer, as part of her University placement year, where she was studying Business Management and Human Resources at Nottingham Trent University. Following a successful and enjoyable placement year, Chloe continued to work for TRQ in her final year of University to enhance her studies. Unfortunately, in the March 2020 Covid struck the UK and Chloe had to finish University degree from home. Chloe’s final dissertation utilised her work experience and studies, being titled ‘An exploratory study to understand the different factors that influence recruitment practices in SMEs’, graduating with 1st class honours.
When Chloe finished University, she rejoined TRQ as a full-time employee developing the knowledge she gained from her degree and in 2022 Chloe became the Commercial Manager at TRQ.
Chloe is involved in a range of projects and recruitment and is the go-to person if you need any information, quotes, or assistance!

My first introduction to TRQ was through meeting Charlie Ryan when I was Corporate Development Manager at Peace Hospice Care. The passion I saw from Charlie then towards supporting the charity, is the same passion I witness every day working with her here at TRQ. I love people and my role as a Business Development Consultant allows me to source, understand, and build great relationships with our clients.
By understanding more than just the skills they require when recruiting, I can ensure our Consultants search for the right individual to “fit” into the organisation. I love it when we put forward Candidates and the Clients find it hard to choose between them. I embrace the goal of “recruit to retain”.

Pritee joined TRQ as an Associate Consultant in May 2021 after having a fantastic conversation with Charlie and Chloe during the summer of 2020 – we knew we all wanted to work together, just needed to find the right timing for us all.
Pritee cut her teeth in recruitment in the Summer of 2005 as a Permanent Consultant within the office Sector for the High Street brand Blue Arrow. Following an almost 5-year stint within Blue Arrow and an Independent Agency, Pritee moved into an SME working as a high-level sales support function for an IT MSP – IT Lab – part of the Big Ideas Group (an independent group of family-owned companies). Within 18 months at IT Lab, it was clear to the owners of BIG that her skillset to the whole group was invaluable and Pritee created the recruitment division BIG Talent. Pritee headed up a team of Talent Scouts from 2011 – 2018 which supported the recruitment for the majority of BIG’s organisations. After being made redundant in 2018, Pritee enjoyed raising her young family and progressing her flourishing performance career as Big Mama Funk – a renowned events singer.
Working as a freelancer with TRQ allows her to live her best life as she doesn’t need to give up any of her passions – music – or being mum.
Building personable relationships with all stakeholders is her forte looking beyond CVs and matching people to people for a long-term vision is what she loves to do.
