In 2010 Charlie started The Recruitment Queen, this company is aimed at young people and candidates gaining employment and overcoming the hurdles this brings. She was surprised at the lack of “soft skills” held by people, especially students – and believed she had a responsibility to help where she could.

Working closely with young people, Charlie will help them understand their strengths and weaknesses and reach conclusions to where they would like to be, and would succeed, within the world of work.   Charlie assists them with all the “non academic” areas needed for this – CV writing, interview techniques, confidence, how they present themselves and all the other skills that help them to get the role they want.

She also works within schools and colleges to run workshops and webinars for this young market as well as giving 10 days a year to run Young Enterprise schemes within local schools. Not just supporting young people and students, Charlie regularly holds redundancy outplacement support workshops ensuring that those in a redundancy situation know it is not the end, simply a fresh beginning.

At the heart of everything is Charlie’s passion to help people, having seen it all first hand in the recruitment industry, ensuring candidates have the right skills and knowledge is what drives Charlie on a daily basis.
