The Recruitment Queen has been an integral part of our 6th form careers development for 4 years now. The focus is to provide students with an improved understanding of the job planning process to impact on greater employment success. Students acquire essential learning on how to: use their time effectively, respond to a job brief, achieve differentiation and critically they gain an insight from the recruiter’s perspective. Our evaluations each year clearly demonstrate that our students’ gain greater confidence as well as knowledge, leading them to apply this learning to numerous placements such as interim work experience roles too. The Recruitment Queen provides vital preparation in helping students to better navigate a competitive marketplace

“Taking Your Brand to Market” This presentation formed part of our Creating Your Brand and Employability day for Year 12 students in July 2016.
Charlie’s presentation was fantastic as always. The students were totally engaged by the interesting, lively and confident delivery. The Power point was very clear and it was refreshing that Charlie talked to the audience rather than reading what was on the screen.
The content was very relevant and covered all aspects of employability skills, job applications etc.
The notes page was perfect for the audience to take with them at the end of the session. It was excellent that Charlie brought two members of her staff to this event, including a former student from our school.
We hope to repeat this event next year with Charlie’s help.
We would not hesitate to recommend this session to other interested schools.

I attended a course with Charlie in May 2009, having signed up to Reed as I had been made redundant. As soon as I spoke to Charlie on the phone, she was so encouraging and I already felt empowered! I went along to the training the next day and met a diverse range of people on the course. I found the day of training really invigorating and I had many ‘penny dropping’ moments and learnt many new skills. I found Charlie to be an excellent facilitator and she had a very flexible style, which meant everybody’s questions were answered.
I wasn’t able to attend the second day as I had work commitments, but Charlie met with me separately to finish off the course material. She was happy for me to phone her regarding upcoming interviews. I am amazed to say that 4 out of the 6 of the course have now got new jobs, including me.
I found the training filled me with confidence and I was more assured of my market value, my skills and my position as a professional in the job-hunting field. I found the phone calls role play the most useful, and as a result of this I secured two further interviews from following Charlie’s techniques. It definitely works.
She has continued to support me after the course end and I have recommended her to a number of my friends who will attend her training in August

Following a two hour workshop at the University of Hertfordshire, I attended a half day workshop run by Charlie. Both workshops were amazing and I came away with several pages of notes.
I had a telephone interview the following week and put into practice the tips I had learned regarding telephone conversation – in particular, the “AQBOC” strategy. The telephone interview was successful and I progressed to the next stage.
