It’s a tough time….. exam after exam with the sun out. The familiar questions of “have I done enough?” with the familiar answer of “of course not!”. There is never “enough” and never enough time to feel that we have.

However it is important you give this time the most you can, not because exams and these results mean everything, but because you always want to look back and know you have done the best you could have done. Remember all of those things you have done already in life and you have had “just one more go at” and done better, well this is your “Go”, so let’s make it count.

There is a fine line between positive stress of giving something your all, but then panic where you fall at this hurdle because you have built up in your head that these exams are “everything”. So perspective is important, with a calm structured approach, you will be able to remember what you know. As much as we want you to feel the pressure to do your best, we also want you to know that there is life after exams whatever the results. It may mean taking some different paths than you had hoped or anticipated, but again that is ok, as you need to be accountable for who you are and what you achieved or didn’t and then take the journey that follows.

We will have a webinar in August on both the GCSE results day and A-level results day, which will run through your options regardless of your results. But for now……. Head down…… and do the best that you know you can, as that is all anyone can ask of you.

Don’t let the panic paralyse you, this is part of the journey where you can show us what you can do.
